Dental Insurance Plus, Second Dental Opinion
Question: I have not been to the dentist in about three years because I did not have dental insurance. But since I just got a dental insurance plan that gave me free preventive care I went to see a dentist just the other day.
Where I was told that I have four cavities. I am not sure about this though. My teeth do not hurt me and I only went in for a free cleaning and X-rays.  Should I just keep my dental appointment to have the filling done or should I be getting a second dental opinion.
Answer: It is not unlike that you may have cavities if you have not been to the dentist in three years as stated. Also cavities do not always hurt. Often times small cavities will go unnoticed by you since their is no pain involve.  However, whit that said whenever you doubt what is being told to you by your dentist getting a second opinion is not a bad idea.
